too many? - BTT

BTT asks about Visuals:
So … the books that you own (however many there may be) … do you display them proudly right there in plain sight for all the world to see? (At least the world that comes into your living room.)
Or do you keep them tucked away in your office or bedroom or library or closet or someplace less “public?”
Bwahahaha,  the books are everywhere.  Not one room is big enough to hold all of them.  This photo is NOT my home.  I borrowed the photo from an organizing agency.
But that's okay,  Edward Gorey's cartoon says:

Hahaha I am the most disorganized person I know and quite frankly I'M offended by the books all over the place. Ha! Not really, but if there is one thing in my life that has a place, it's my books. :O)

I, so agree, there is never too many books. I'm the organised type however. I have some books on display an others not. See which and why at http://beyondstrangenewwords.blogspot.com/2011/04/booking-through-thursday-visual.html

I love books everywhere, but arranged...they're alphabetically arranged on individual shelves. I have a lot of shelves.

It's good to keep them organized, but it's hard to do when there is quantity.

Stop and see mine and my giveaways.

Hide our books. What a novel idea. No, like you, we have them in every room :-)

Your post is so timely! Hub and I were just talking about books...our too many books. When they overflow the bookcases I bring some to the library. This sometimes bites me - prior to President Obama running for president, I bought his book. I'd lived in Kenya and wanted to see what he had to say. It was a really good read. I re-read the book, then decided others might enjoy the book. Donated it to the library. Time passed. He ran for president (yes, I voted for him, even had his sticker on my car)...don't even ask what a first edition of his book sells for on e-bay...please!
